The Department of Laboratory Medicine in Mediciti Hospitals is an integrated unit of various disciplines of laboratory science. The biochemistry section is well equipped with state-of-art, totally automated biochemistry analyzers-Dade Dimension ES & ER and cobas integra-400 from Dade Ranbaxy and Roche respectively. The biochemistry section has several other machines like multichannel coagulometer, Avl-Roche-Electrolyte analysers, Diastat HbA1c analyzer from Biorad etc.

Being totally automated with daily quality control programme in place, quick and reliable result is assured at all times.

The pathology division is also well equipped with automated hematology cell counters, QBC unit for malarial parasite, urine strip readers, automated tissue processor etc.

The Microbiology & Immunology section have in their possession Mini Vidas, an automated immunoassay system from Biomerieux, Turbitimer from Dade–Behring.


The Department of Transfusion Medicine at Mediciti at Mediciti is licensed to handle not only whole blood but also blood components. The blood bank is well equipped with modern machines and takes pride to inform that latest gel technology is used for cross matching to ensure a safe and effective blood transfusion.

Above all, the division is managed by a team of well qualified and experienced medical professionals supported by highly motivated technical staff. The division provides 24 hours service all round the year. Home sample collection service is available for the benefit of our patients where in on one day prior notice blood sample will be collected from patient’s home at no extra charge
