General ophthalmologist with special interest is in retina including laser photocoagulation for diabetes and other retinopathies. Can perform cataract surgery with IOL implant both by conventional method and by phaco-emulsification. Also trained in Lasik Refractive Surgery for myopia and hypermetropia.

The outpatient department in MediCiti is now ready to perform

• refraction, contact lens prescription,
• screening of primary and secondary glaucoma, cataract,
• screening for diabetic retinopathy, vein occlusions, leaking aneurysms ect,
• screening for peripheral retinal degenerations eg: high myopia,
• treatment and monitoring of thyroid eye diseases, ocular motility disorders,
• neuro-ophthalmological examination, optic neuropathies,

• treatment of ocular emergencies like chemical burns, welding arc light injuries, corneal foreign bodies,
• treatment of corneal ulcers, viral keratitis, contact lens related keratitis;
• repair of lid lacerations; and also blow-out fractures of orbit and facial injuries (in collaboration with my maxillo-facial and plastic surgeon colleagues).
• evaluation and treatment of ‘watering eye’ and perform syringing and probing;
• pterygium excision with/ without conjunctival autograft;
• removal of cysts and small tumours of the lids;
• tarsorrhaphy for facial palsy;
• surgical correction of ectropion, entropion and trichiasis,
• tear conservation by use of punctal plugs for dry eye.
